Australian Workplace Strategies (AWS) is a specialist consultancy focusing on the support of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the areas of human resource management and industrial relations.Established in 1994, the principal Gerard Nelson founded AWS after four years as the director of the Labour Market Strategy Group, with KPMG Peat Marwick. In 1995 the consultancy moved to form an alliance with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. This arrangement resulted in AWS providing advice to a significant number of business organisations serviced by Deloitte’s private client group. The relationship continued until 1999 when AWS formed an alliance with a leading boutique law firm. An alliance such as this provides many client benefits. AWS has maintained consistent growth in its consulting business since its inception in 1994. A feature of its service to clients and an indication of the strong support given to management is the large number of retainers held by AWS. Current clients include many household names in various commercial and industry sectors. |
