Australian Workplace Strategies (AWS) is a specialist consultancy focusing on the support of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the areas of human resource management and industrial relations.  At AWS, we take the time to know our clients and understand their businesses – really well.  Our first meeting with a client can be at our offices at 101 Collins Street in Melbourne or if you prefer, over a coffee or at your business.

During the past 25 years, we have been engaged by some of the best-known companies in Australia, including Nike, Le Pine Funerals, Stanley Black & Decker – through to localised businesses including legal and accounting practices, sports stores, sign writers and phone retailers.  We’ve also acted for local governments and government authorities.  Experience counts – and we’ve got it in spades!

AWS was founded by Lieutenant Colonel Gerard Nelson in 1994, following his tenure as the director of the Labour Market Strategy Group, with KPMG Peat Marwick. In 1995 the consultancy moved to form an alliance with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. This arrangement resulted in AWS providing advice to a significant number of business organisations serviced by Deloitte’s private client group. In 2007, AWS formed an alliance with leading law firm Parke Lawyers and since 2015 AWS has operated as a division of Parke Corporation. That brings the strength and backing of a quality-assured legal practice, providing additional benefits to clients of AWS.

The corporate offices of Australian Workplace Strategies are conveniently located in Melbourne’s CBD at 101 Collins Street. Servicing clients Australia-wide, AWS can accommodate appointments in any capital city.
